I wouldn't say that the ladders are the issue with sieges. When you attacking a castle you can just break the side towers and take position outside the walls. From there it is just like shooting fish in a barrel. You can kill everyone inside the castle without even going inside. The AI will never sally out so you are completely safe outside the walls.

The only issue I see is perfecting the infantry combat and making the vehicles a little differently. TW:3K already had duel systems which was super cool and the heros were fun, just the infantry were kind of just there.

The only thing that makes me like this game less is how much people enjoy hating it

Little bit late but I need to share my appreciation of the knowledge that someone else hates elves as much as I do, only exception I've made has been Drow in certain settings but that's mostly because they kill each other as much as I kill them.

With all these articles regarding how the development goes and how design decisions are being made at CA I really doubt they would release another great game. They could release a good one, but management is too focused adding new features instead of polishing the good stuff they already had. I’d highly prefer they prioritise work on AI for both campaign and battles, to make playing again more interesting and remove cheese strategies in battles. E.g. the campaign ai was bad in medieval 2, but mods improved it drastically and they made the game more replayable

0:27 it's a false conclusion. Why do i prefer ME over Vortex? Because it's bigger! The time limit are not so impactful once you realize that it takes a lot of time to get to the last milestone, and AI sucks to defending multiple locations to complete the ritual. So you really need to struggle in campaign in order to let AI be able to complete all rituals and going to the final battle without competitors.

Funny thing, Romans did in fact take dragons (draconarius) into battle, but they were ensigns for a cohort, not unlike the eagle (aquila), which was the ensign for the entire legion.
